FAQs

Mission Statement

Sky Valley Fresh is committed to providing real agriculture for the community from our family to yours.

Who are we?

Sky Valley Fresh is your local family farm, utilizing technology to protect the environment, feed a growing population and continue a family legacy.

Is your farm organic?

Sky Valley Fresh is a natural farm but not organic. We utilize antimicrobial treatments for life saving situations. We work closely with our veterinarians and guarantee that any cow or chicken that receives the special and necessary treatment will not be used for milk, beef, or egg sales.

Is your milk Raw?

Our delicious milk is not raw, rather we use Slow Vat Pasteurization at Sky Valley Fresh. This gentle method heats the milk to 145 degrees F for 30 minutes and preserves the milk’s natural minerals, proteins and health benefits, ensuring that the natural flavor of the milk is maintained. Real milk from real cows raised on a multi-generational farm is the best!

Do your animals go outside?

When the weather and the seasons are suitable, the cows and chickens are able to graze on fresh grass. Barns are provided for the cows to be housed comfortably when the weather doesn’t allow them to be outside. The cows enjoy the indoors when outside is too hot, windy or wet and for many other reasons including overall comfort. The Chickens can go outside any time they want to, but they usually choose to stay indoors when the weather is not nice.

Bottled in Plastic why?

We are beginning our journey into direct to consumer milk sales by bottling in plastic. We know that many consumers desire glass and we will consider this in the future with the best solution to consumer and production needs. Please note, our plastic bottles cannot be returned for reuse.

How much does your beef cost?

Beef sold by the 1/4, 1/2, or whole is $4.50 per pound. In addition you will also pay the butcher a fee for the cut and wrapping of the animal. We are able to offer beef year round. Please contact us if you are interested in purchasing
